Portrait of an unknown man, Heraklio
Litho crayon on paper. Just a guy I used to see around town. He was on some kind of medication - he would stop in the middle of the road and announce, at the top of his voice - "Here I am, today in Heraklio. It seems like a perfectly normal day, everyone goes about his business..." and so on, like he was reporting a news story. So I was a bit daunted but asked him if he would sit for a portrait. He agreed and sat. Very still, like he were an official and I were Ingres. I'm not saying you'd want this on your wall, but it is a good picture, a real likeness.
